South Asian Network for Public Administration (SANPA) was established on the 8th day of the month of November in 2020 as a network of knowledge community to foster research, knowledge production, capacity building, knowledge dissemination, and strengthening regional and international partnerships in areas of Public Administration in South Asia and beyond.
SANPA President Professor Akhlaque Haque attended the United Nations Public Administration Network (UNPAN) meeting and the 23rd session of the Committee of Experts on Public Administration (CEPA) held at Conference Room 1 at United Nations Headquarters in New York from 15 to 19 April 2024. The meetings examined various issues in governance and public administration that are central to ongoing efforts to implement the global 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. SANPA President interacted with the leadership of different UNPAN Members and the UNPAN team. SANPA is committed to the activities of UNPAN and CEPA.
What a great way to start 2024 by holding a webinar with close to 120 participants from around the world. This SANPA-SIPG webinar was held on 28 January 2024 and moderated by SANPA President Professor Akhlaque Haque. Global scholars James Perry, Akhlaque Haque, Kim Moloney, Shahjahan Bhuiyan, Aisha Azhar, Dr. Amir Nasrullah, and Alex Brillantes Jr discussed and debated how to build collaboration to create global knowledge on public administration. James Perry presented a very thought-provoking note that invoked critical discussions from the panelists. We thank our partners, SIPG, EROPA, ACSH, UNPAN, BCGD, PAAN, and AAPA, for their support. Special gratitude to EROPA for ensuring high attendance.
The second meeting of the EC was held on 18 August 2024. SANPA President Professor Akhlaque Haque presided over the meeting. The meeting discussed the preparations for the upcoming DIU-SANPA-IOM International Conference scheduled on 25-27 October 2024 in Dhaka. The meeting urged all members of the EC to contribute to the successful implementation of the conference. The meeting appreciated the support and cooperation of the conference partners, Dhaka International University and the International Office for Migration, Bangladesh Office.
